I have been working across many genres in video production for nearly two decades. I started out as an editor and, over time, incorporated writing, producing, and directing into my skill set. I have worked for corporate clients, nonprofits, independent filmmakers, and my own passion projects. I have worked in Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, Durham, San Francisco, and Philadelphia, and have cultivated a robust network of fellow filmmakers. In 2014, I started mentoring San Francisco youth in filmmaking practice, and discovered that I love to teach. I completed a 3-year MFA in Film & Media Arts at Temple University in 2019 and now work as an Assistant Professor in Cinema & Television Arts at Elon University. (I earned my BFA in Editing & Sound from UNCSA School of Filmmaking). I continue to make media as a freelancer and believe that bringing interpersonal relations to the forefront of media making is crucial to creative, safe, and equitable production cultures. I'm thrilled to be a part of the BIPOC Doc Editors network and hope to find amazing projects to delve into! If you are interested in working with me, please feel free to reach out!
