Maral is a Brooklyn based Editor from Iran. She edited Manimal Kingdom, a Field of Vision docu-series featured in Gotham's Spotlight on Documentaries. She was the Producer and Editor of two docu-series for Al Jazeera: the Webby winning Eat This with Yara, and Pop Americana. Maral was recently the Story Editor on San Damiano, which premiered at the 2024 Rome Film Festival, and prior to that she was the Casting Director for Pigeon on a Branch, which won the Venice Golden Lion. She is the editor of Sekiya Dorsett's I Love Bed-Stuy, a feature documentary premiering in 2026 and Associate Editor of American Union, directed by artist Brett Wallace, also premiering in 2026. Maral's branded work includes interview pieces with Steve Buscemi, Michael J. Fox, and Ringo Starr for AARP Studios, where she produced and edited celebrity portraits across digital and social platforms.
